The NASEO Transportation Committee will host a call on Thursday, August 31 at 3:30pm ET to discuss beneficial electric vehicle (EV) rate structures and other EV/utility issues. On our call, Kellen Schefter with Edison Electric Institute will provide an overview of EV rate design and discuss the role of charging station providers and utilities when investing in EV infrastructure. Cal Silcox with Pacific Gas and Electric will also join the discussion to share developments in PG&E’s territory with EV rate design and EV investment. This conversation will provide helpful background information in advance of NASEO’s Transportation Committee session at the NASEO Annual Meeting in New Orleans on September 18, which will focus on challenges and opportunities for vehicle electrification.
