Senate Bill 2266—legislation that would invest approximately $330 billion for expanded natural gas infrastructure—was recently passed by the Illinois State Senate. The measure, which would allow gas utilities to recoup investments made to upgrade and improve the natural gas distribution system, now goes to Gov. Pat Quinn for approval.
