EESI and NASEO Continue "Resilience" Briefing Series

On March 28, 2018, EESI and NASEO will host the next in their series of energy infrastructure and resilience briefings for Congressional staff (live webcast available). The next briefing, Why Resilient Buildings are Critical U.S. Infrastructure, focuses on the drive toward resilient buildings that are located, designed and built to withstand extreme weather, cyberterrorism, and other hazards. Federal, state and local governments, working in partnership with standard-setting and the private sector, are responding to the need for increased infrastructure resilience. This briefing will explore what makes buildings resilient; why resilience is important in meeting multiple policy challenges, including infrastructure modernization, emergency preparedness, disaster response, and research; and how public-private collaboration across research, training and investment benefits communities in every region of the nation.
