NASEO submitted comments to the DOE Request for Information (RFI) on building energy code compliance. The comments are available on NASEO’s building energy codes webpage.
Also, the International Code Council (ICC) held Public Comment Hearings, Oct. 6-10, on the residential and commercial versions of the 2015 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). Chris Wagner, NASEO Program Manager, represented NASEO at the Hearings. Governmental voting representatives defeated the residential equipment trade-off provision and approved a new compliance path in the 2015 IECC based on a system similar to a HERS rating.
