NASEO Kicks off Annual Series of Regional Meetings

On April 1 -2, the State Energy Offices in the Midwest convened in Madison, Wisc., to elevate and address regional priorities.  This was the first in NASEO’s annual series of five regional meetings to be held between April and June in coordination with the U.S. Department of Energy.  The regional meetings cover issues including the quantification of energy efficiency measures; expansion of efficiency and renewable energy projects in rural and agricultural areas; program direction under the U.S. State Energy Program; comprehensive and strategic approaches to state energy planning; coordination on alternative fuel vehicles and infrastructure; and other pressing topics.
