According to a new USGBC study, the national green building sector of the U.S. construction industry is slated to contribute 2.3 million jobs in 2015, growing to 3.3 million by 2018.

The report also details GDP contribution, jobs, labor earnings, industry spend and energy savings attributed to the green building industry and USGBC’s LEED rating system at the national and state levels from 2011 to 2014 and projected outcomes from 2015 to 2018.

In addition, the study shows how green building and LEED are adding value to both the national and state economies, supporting jobs and providing skilled labor salaries all while saving energy and reducing waste. We hope you will find this data useful.
