As part of NASEO's continued efforts to bring home energy labeling to scale, we are partnering with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) to present an educational webinar on the "National Labeling Group."
The National Labeling Group is collaborative of public policy, rating system, state and federal entities convened to design, develop and implement a nationally recognized building energy label for multifamily and commercial office buildings. Currently, stakeholder groups such as tenants and the financial community don’t have an easily-understood way of identifying a building’s energy performance whether it be good, average, or poor. A national label based on an existing rating system or systems applied ubiquitously to multifamily and commercial buildings could help to accelerate consumer demand for energy efficient buildings.
