NASEO and Florida Energy Office Selected to Lead Projects Accelerating Alternative Fuel Vehicle Market Growth

Both NASEO and the Florida Office of Energy were selected by the U.S. Department of Energy's Clean Cities program to lead projects which are accelerating the growth of the alternative fuel vehicles market.

NASEO’s "Initiative for Resiliency in Energy through Vehicles" (iREV) project will bolster disaster management and response by equipping emergency planners with tools and strategies to incorporate alternative fuel vehicles into their operations. The iREV team includes NASEO Affiliates Concurrent Technologies Corporation, the Vermont Energy Investment Corporation, and the Center for Sustainable Energy, as well emergency planning organizations, Clean Cities Coalitions, and State Energy Offices across the country. The Florida Office of Energy’s “Drive Electric: Orlando” project will increase the use of plug-in electric vehicles in Orlando, the largest rental car market in the country, and increase consumer familiarity with these vehicles by providing multi-day test drives.
