The state’s electric and natural gas utilities have submitted a 549-page plan to Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection detailing how they believe that energy efficiency program funds should be spent through the end of 2018.
The Conservation and Load Management Plan was submitted to DEEP on Thursday. DEEP is required by state statute to do a comprehensive evaluation of the plan the utilities put forth to ensure that the state’s energy efficiency programs are cost-effective and comply with statutory requirements.
That review will be completed before the end of this year, according to Katie Scharf Dykes, DEEP’s deputy commissioner in charge of energy. The conservation and load management plan will be the subject of a public meeting later this month that has yet to be scheduled.
