DOC Awards Over $50,000 to Ohio Energy and Advanced Manufacturing Center

The U.S. Department of Commerce's (DOC) Economic Development Administration (EDA) has awarded $54,125 to the Ohio Energy and Advanced Manufacturing Center for a study that will explore establishing petro-chemical testing.

“This federal investment will help Lima continue to develop into a leader in manufacturing innovation,” said U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown. “The Ohio Energy and Advanced Manufacturing Center will have the opportunity to explore whether pursing petro-chemical manufacturing will boost economic growth in the region.”

“We are very excited about the grant from the U. S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration,” said Judy Cowan, President and CEO of the Ohio Energy and Advanced Manufacturing Center. “The grant will assist us in the feasibility study phase of an exciting new project for the Ohio Energy and Advanced Manufacturing Center.  The funds will be used to assist in the exploration of new energy products and processes that will be needed in the future.”
