As the manager of the Efficiency Division's Building Standards Office, you will lead a diverse team of professionals responsible for overseeing the development of the California Energy Code - the state's energy efficiency performance requirements for new buildings. As part of the development process, you will oversee a team working to incorporate the latest technologies and efficiency measures into the Code and implement strategies to meet the state's ambitious efficiency, clean energy, and decarbonization goals. This role requires engagement and leadership on complex policy and technical issues that have implications not only statewide, but on the interstate, international, and local levels.

Senior Energy Policy Analyst
Oregon Department of Energy

This position will serve as the state’s expert on clean energy policy in Oregon, relevant clean energy policies in the region, and evolving clean energy markets.  The position will enable the state to achieve its renewable portfolio standard goals, provide analysis on harmonization of western state RPS and climate programs, and evaluate new clean energy policy options as they develop, greenhouse gas reduction goals, and prepare for the impacts of a warming climate.  This will be accomplished by maintaining expertise on clean energy policies in Oregon and within the region, analyzing clean energy and clean electricity policies and strategies, following and providing input where needed on evolving clean energy markets in the West, informing state leadership on clean energy policy and market  issues, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders on developing and evaluating policy options and strategies.

Senior Portfolio Analyst
California Energy Commission

The Energy Commission’s Research and Development Division is one of the largest investors in early-stage clean energy innovation, providing approximately $150 million in new investments each year to help accelerate California’s timeline to becoming a 100 percent clean energy economy. CEC is actively seeking a Senior Portfolio Analyst to oversee activities related to measuring, analyzing and reporting the impacts of the Energy Commission’s research and development (R&D) investments. The ideal applicant will be a creative problem solver, able to think strategically about critical intersections between technology, policy and market drivers; and able to work cross-functionally with internal business units and key external stakeholders and partners.
