NASEO Midwest Petroleum Exercise

The National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO), in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response (CESER) will host an in-person Midwest Petroleum Exercise on Thursday, October 1 - Friday, October 2, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis (located at 1300 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55403). The Midwest Pertroleum Exercise will bring together state, federal, and private-sector partners for a two-day tabletop exercise focused on petroleum supply disruptions during a complex, sustained weather event. Participants will examine state liquid fuel set-aside programs, regional coordination procedures, and alignment with the Midwest Petroleum Response Collaborative Regional Framework.
